Ghanaian striker Edmund Baidoo showcased his scoring prowess as Sogndal secured a commanding 5-1 victory over Sandnes in the Norwegian First Division on Saturday.

Baidoo’s goal was part of a dazzling offensive performance by the home team, propelling them to third place in the league standings.

The onslaught began early, with forward Erik Flataker breaking the deadlock within seven minutes of kickoff. Defender Mathias Oren swiftly doubled the lead less than fifteen minutes later, setting the stage for Baidoo to extend the advantage with a well-taken goal.

In the second half, Flataker completed his brace, and substitute Oliver Hintsa added another goal late in the game. Despite conceding a consolation goal, Sogndal’s dominance remained unchallenged.

Baidoo’s goal marked his fourth in all competitions this season, complementing his four assists. Since joining Sogndal earlier this year, the former Ghana youth international has made a significant impact on the squad.
