NFF Set to Introduce Finidi George as New Super Eagles Coach on Monday

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is gearing up to officially present Finidi George as the new Head Coach of the senior men’s national football team, the Super Eagles, on Monday at the Sunday Dankaro Football Stadium.

The unveiling ceremony is expected to be attended by notable figures including the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, Permanent Secretary Mrs. Tinuke Watti, NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, NFF General Secretary Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, and other distinguished guests.

Prior to his appointment, Finidi had a successful stint as the coach of Enyimba FC, clinching the Nigerian league title last season. Notably, he also served as an assistant to Portuguese José Peseiro for 20 months from 2022, during which the Super Eagles secured qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and claimed a silver medal in the final against eventual winners Cote d’Ivoire.
