GOC President Aims for Multiple Boxing Qualifications at 2024 Olympics

Ben Nunoo Mensah, President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), is hopeful that Ghana will secure at least two or three boxing qualifications for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris later this year.

In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Nunoo Mensah expressed his aspirations ahead of the impending trip of Ghana’s Amateur Boxing Team, the Black Bombers, to Bangkok, Thailand, for the Olympic qualifiers.

Despite acknowledging potential distractions surrounding the team’s journey to Asia, the GOC President remained optimistic about Ghana’s chances in the qualifiers.

The Black Bombers are scheduled to depart for Thailand on May 20, with hopes high for a successful campaign to secure spots at the Paris Games.
