Alex Quartey, the referees instructor for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has affirmed that FIFA referee Daniel Laryea will be ready to officiate domestic games whenever he is available.
In an interview, Quartey explained that Laryea frequently travels abroad for various assignments, such as serving as a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) assistant, a referee’s assistant, or as the main referee in Confederation of African Football (CAF) competitions.
However, Quartey assured that whenever Laryea is present in the country, the GFA will not hesitate to utilize his expertise in officiating matches in the domestic league.
“Daniel Laryea is a seasoned referee with extensive experience. He often travels abroad for assignments, but whenever he is in the country, we will make use of his services. Just last week, he officiated a match, and if the opportunity arises while he is here, we will definitely engage him,” Quartey remarked in an interview with Peace FM, as reported by Sportblog247.com.
With Laryea’s wealth of experience in both local and international competitions, he is held in high regard within the football community, making his availability for domestic matches a valuable asset for Ghanaian football.
