Former Hearts of Oak forward Charles Taylor has called for the club’s relegation, citing the suffering of its supporters. Taylor also demands the dissolution of the board, criticizing the lack of the traditional “never-say-die” attitude within the team.

Hearts of Oak, once dominant in Ghanaian football and the only Ghanaian club to win the CAF Champions League in 2000, now face the threat of relegation. With just three games remaining, the club is only two points above the drop zone, following a 2-0 defeat to archrivals Asante Kotoko.

In an interview with Angel FM, Taylor expressed his concerns about the club’s current state. “They should dissolve the Hearts of Oak board because there’s no Never Say Die spirit in the team again. If necessary, Hearts of Oak should go to relegation because their supporters are going through a lot.”

To avoid relegation, Hearts of Oak must win their remaining matches against Nations FC, city rivals Great Olympics, and Bechem United.
