Georgia Panthers Make Key Roster Addition with Dikas Signing

The Georgia Panthers have strengthened their roster for the upcoming 2024 season by adding experienced Nigerian guard, Andrew Dikas. Standing at 6’4″ and weighing 202 pounds, Dikas, born in 1988 and a graduate of Brewton-Parker College, brings a wealth of professional experience to the team.

Dikas, who previously played in the NBL League in the Czech Republic, is the second international player to join the Panthers, following the signing of Gambian player Ben Njie. With a diverse professional background that includes stints in Slovenia (Grosuplje), Sweden (Norrkoping), and ABA (S.Coast F. and S.Florida G.), Dikas is expected to make a significant impact in the upcoming season.

The dynamic combo guard, known for his versatility playing as a point guard and shooting guard, boasts exceptional athleticism and a polished midrange game. Graduating from Brewton-Parker College in 2011, Dikas enters his 13th professional season with the hope of bringing success to the Georgia Panthers. Despite a foot injury slowing him down in his junior season at Brewton-Parker, Dikas displayed explosive scoring abilities, averaging 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Originally from Jacksonville, FL, Dikas showcased his skills in high school at Nova High, one of the top 6A schools in South Florida. His impressive stats included averaging 19 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks per game. With a remarkable track record and a highlight reel filled with electrifying dunks, Andrew Dikas is poised to make a significant contribution to the Georgia Panthers in the upcoming season, potentially concluding his playing career with the team.
