Ebenezer Assifuah Scores Late Winner for Kedah Darul Aman in Malaysian League

Ghanaian forward Ebenezer Assifuah came off the bench to score a late winner, securing Kedah Darul Aman’s first victory of the season in the Malaysian top-flight league.

The former FIFA U20 Golden Boot winner made his mark just seven minutes after replacing Milos Gordic, scoring in the 77th minute to clinch a win against Penang FC.

The 30-year-old forward skillfully rounded the Penang goalkeeper before slotting the ball home, ending Kedah’s four-match winless streak.

Assifuah, who moved to Malaysia in January 2023 after a decade in Europe, signed a two-year contract with Kedah. He is expected to play a key role in the upcoming season as the Northern Malaysia-based club aims for a strong finish in the 2024/25 season.

Meanwhile, Assifuah’s compatriot, Richmond Ankrah, was in action for Penang FC, playing the full duration of the match.
