Wilfred Ndidi enjoyed his most prolific season as a midfielder under Enzo Maresca in the EFL Championship last season. Following Maresca’s departure to Chelsea after Mauricio Pochettino’s dismissal, Leicester City appointed Steve Cooper as their new manager.

Sportblog247.com previously reported that Cooper was ready to enter the transfer market but was awaiting Ndidi’s decision on whether he would remain at King Power Stadium. According to Caught Offside, the 27-year-old versatile midfielder has rejected another contract offer from Leicester City, indicating his intention to leave as his current deal expires in three days.

The Nigeria international played a crucial role in Leicester’s promotion back to the English Premier League. Unless there is a change in the next three days, Ndidi will be the second Super Eagles player to exit King Power Stadium this season, following Kelechi Iheanacho’s departure last month.

Ndidi has several options, with offers from Olympique de Marseille, Aston Villa, Galatasaray, Trabzonspor, Everton, Atletico de Madrid, and Barcelona. The former Genk midfielder aims to return to top-level football and play for a club participating in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Steve Cooper and Leicester City must now plan for life without Ndidi, who joined the Foxes from Genk in 2017.
