Yaw Dabo Facilitates Arsenal Scout Visit to Ghana, Eyes European Opportunities for Academy Players

Ghanaian actor and football enthusiast Samuel Yaw Dabo has taken a significant stride in promoting young talent in Ghana by inviting Arsenal scout Phil Antwi to assess players at his soccer academy.

Antwi, who joined Arsenal’s scouting department in 2020, arrived in Ghana on Wednesday and was warmly received by Yaw Dabo at Kotoka International Airport.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Antwi noted the potential he sees in the players at Yaw Dabo Sports Academy, aiming to discover talents capable of thriving in European football.

Established last year, the academy secured 16 plots of land in the Ashanti Region for a sports complex aimed at supporting talented footballers from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering them resources and opportunities to hone their skills.

Dabo’s dedication to football and community welfare shines through his efforts to provide a platform for young players to excel. The academy has garnered attention, with the visit from the Arsenal scout underscoring the talent potential.

Through his venture into football administration, Yaw Dabo is positively impacting young footballers in Ghana, providing them avenues to pursue their dreams and carve out a path in the global football arena.
