Super Eagles’ Peter Olayinka Nears Return to Slavia Prague After Season in Serbia

Super Eagles striker Peter Olayinka is on the verge of rejoining former Czech champions Slavia Prague this summer, according to Sportblog247.com.

Olayinka moved to Serbian club Red Star Belgrade last summer after a successful five-year stint with Slavia Prague, where he won the Czech league and the Czech Cup three times each.

During his season at Red Star Belgrade, Olayinka had a solid performance, scoring twelve goals and providing seven assists in 38 appearances, contributing significantly to their double-winning campaign.

However, despite his successful season, it seems Olayinka is dissatisfied with his current situation in Serbia. Reports from OJB Sports suggest that the 28-year-old striker is keen on a return to Slavia Prague for personal reasons, though the specifics of the potential deal remain unclear.

Olayinka, who is highly regarded by fans in Prague, is valued at €6 million by Transfermarkt. This amount could be challenging for Slavia Prague, but options such as a flexible payment plan or a loan deal may be explored.

The Super Eagles star, who has four caps for Nigeria, last played for the national team during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
