Majeed Ashimeru Thrilled After Key Role in Anderlecht’s Opening Day Win

Ghana midfielder Abdul Majeed Ashimeru has expressed his excitement after playing a pivotal role in Anderlecht’s opening day victory over Saint Truiden in the Belgian Pro League.

Despite a recent injury during the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast limiting his appearances, Ashimeru made a strong return to the starting lineup. He showcased his abilities in midfield, effectively winning and distributing passes as Anderlecht controlled the match at Lotto Park.

Mario Stroeykens, who substituted Ashimeru with 13 minutes to go, scored the decisive goal with the final kick of the game.
