Ghanaian featherweight boxer Stanley Nyantekyi, known as the “Ashanti Warrior,” is set to make his USA debut on December 7, 2024, as he competes for the UBO World Featherweight title against Argentina’s Sergio Sosa. The fight will take place at the Menomie Casino Resort in Wisconsin, USA.
Nyantekyi, 23, currently holds the titles of Ghana’s National Featherweight and UBO Africa Featherweight Champion. He expressed his excitement and gratitude to his management team, Osibor Management & Promotions, for their unwavering support. Confident in his preparation, Nyantekyi stated, “I am ready for anything as long as we are two men of the same weight in the ring. I trust my corner, and I know millions are supporting me.”
Nyantekyi boasts a record of 10 wins and one loss, while his opponent, Sergio Sosa, has 13 wins and four losses. Sosa, 30, an orthodox boxer from Villa Hidalgo, Buenos Aires, Argentina, last fought in November 2023, where he suffered a TKO loss.
If successful, Nyantekyi will be joined by fellow boxers Jonathan Mbanugu, aka Jon Power, and John Zile, both under the management of Osibor Promotions. The event is promoted by International Boxing and supported by DotCom Branding, the Punchline, and Native American Tourism of Wisconsin (NATOW).
