Captain One Golf Society’s Girls Excel at 2024 Obuasi Open

Ayisha Amidu and Jennifer Satura, rising stars from the Captain One Golf Society’s Kids Project, shone brightly at the 2024 Obuasi Open held at the Obuasi Golf Club. Ayisha, with a handicap of 23, won the ladies’ division with an impressive 40 points, while Jennifer followed closely with 39 points, playing off a handicap of 33. Juliet Ayisu finished third with 33 points.

In the men’s division, Maxwell Acheampong claimed victory with 39 points, followed by John Asiaw and Joshua Amarh, both scoring 38 points, with Asiaw winning on countback.

Ayisha and Jennifer are part of the Captain One Golf Society’s initiative aimed at nurturing golfing talent among underprivileged children. Both girls are mentored by professional golfer Yaw Barima Okyere and have shown exceptional promise, with Ayisha already winning several major competitions this year.

Following her victory, Ayisha expressed her joy and confidence for future competitions, thanking Captain One Golf Society and her coach for their support.
