Otto Addo Urges Black Stars to Stay Focused for Sudan Return Leg

Ghana coach Otto Addo has called on the Black Stars to maintain their focus as they prepare for their second-leg match against Sudan. This plea comes after the senior national team was held to a 0-0 draw against Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium during the third matchday of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Despite an improved performance from the Black Stars, they were unable to find the back of the net. In his post-match comments, Otto Addo, who was reappointed earlier this year in March on a 34-month contract, emphasized the importance of concentration heading into the upcoming game.

“I’m confident that our energy and creativity will secure us a win against the Falcons on Monday. We just have to stay focused,” the 45-year-old coach stated.

The Black Stars will face Sudan at the Martyrs of February Stadium during Matchday four, with kickoff scheduled for 13:00 GMT. Currently, Ghana sits third in Group F with only two points after three matches.
