Seven Asante Kotoko players who travelled to the United States for the Capital City Africa Cup will be returning to Ghana on Sunday, October 13, 2024, according to a statement from the club.

The club confirmed, “The first contingent, including seven players and technical staff currently in the U.S., will return to Ghana on Sunday, 13th October 2024.” Following their return, Kotoko will shift focus to maintaining their strong start in the Ghana Premier League.

The club also announced its withdrawal from the Capital City Africa Cup, citing difficulties in securing visas for the remaining players. The tournament was set to take place in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
