Ola Aina Confident Super Eagles Will Secure Six Points in AFCON Qualifiers Against Libya

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has expressed confidence that Nigeria will emerge victorious in both legs of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Libya. The three-time African champions are set to face the Mediterranean Knights in back-to-back fixtures, with the first game on Friday in Nigeria and the second in Benghazi on October 15.

Aina emphasized the team’s determination to win, acknowledging the expectations placed on them as a major footballing nation. Despite past slip-ups against smaller teams, Aina believes Nigeria will claim all six points from both matches.

“We are expected to beat everybody… We have to go there and win the first and second game and come out with all six points by God’s grace,” Aina said.

Victories in these matches would virtually secure Nigeria’s qualification for the 2025 AFCON.
