James Kwesi Appiah, head coach of Sudan’s national football team, is optimistic about securing a significant victory against Ghana in their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier. After a goalless draw in the first leg of their Group F matchup in Accra, Sudan will now face the Black Stars again on Tuesday, October 15, in Benghazi.
Appiah commended his team’s defensive resilience in the first encounter and emphasized their determination to go a step further in the second leg. While he acknowledged the challenges ahead, he expressed confidence in their ability to fight for a win, which would significantly boost Sudan’s chances of qualifying for the tournament.
Ghana, led by coach Otto Addo, will also be looking to strengthen their campaign with a strong performance.
