It’s a new dawn for Prince Osei Owusu! 🌅
The German-born forward has received his maiden call-up to the Ghana national team ahead of the Black Stars’ international friendlies against Japan and South Korea this November.
At 28, Owusu’s journey has been one of patience, persistence, and power. After years of consistent performances in Major League Soccer — first with Toronto FC and now with CF Montréal — his hard work has finally caught the attention of head coach Otto Addo.
With several senior strikers unavailable, Addo has turned to Owusu to inject fresh firepower into Ghana’s attack as the team fine-tunes its setup for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The towering forward, known for his strength and finishing, has been on Ghana’s radar for some time and was even listed on standby during the World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros.
The Black Stars are set to face Japan on Friday, November 14, in Aichi’s Toyota Stadium, before locking horns with South Korea on Tuesday, November 18, in Seoul — key tests that will help shape Addo’s evolving squad.
Owusu’s inclusion symbolizes a new chapter of opportunity — where determination meets destiny — as Ghana continues to rebuild for the challenges ahead. 🇬🇭🔥

Jordan Ayew came to the rescue for Leicester City as his first-half penalty earned the Foxes a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough in the English Championship on Tuesday night.
The experienced Ghanaian forward showed composure from the spot just before half-time, calmly slotting home to hand Leicester a deserved lead and momentarily lift the pressure after two consecutive defeats.
Leicester dominated much of the first half and looked on course for victory at the King Power Stadium, but heartbreak struck late when Luke Ayling netted an injury-time equaliser to snatch a point for Middlesbrough.
Ayew’s goal — his second of the season — comes as a timely response to critics amid Leicester’s inconsistent form. The draw, however, leaves the Foxes in 13th place with 18 points from 14 matches.
His compatriot Abdul Fatawu Issahaku also impressed on the right flank, lasting 85 minutes before being replaced by Stephy Mavididi.
While Leicester will rue the dropped points, Ayew’s performance offered a bright spark — a sign that the Ghanaian captain is finding his rhythm once again in English football.

The dream of witnessing the Black Stars live at the 2026 FIFA World Cup is about to become a reality for hundreds of Ghanaian fans!
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has teamed up with the National Lottery Authority (NLA) and Rambell to launch an exciting initiative dubbed the World Cup Bonanza, which will see 220 lucky supporters win all-expenses-paid trips to cheer Ghana on in North America.
The official launch took place at the GFA Headquarters on Tuesday, graced by GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, NLA Director-General Mohammed Abdul-Salam, and Rockson Konde, who represented the Rambell Board Chairman.
Adding extra flair to the event were some of Ghana’s biggest entertainment personalities — Afronita, Fella Makafui, Kobby Kyei, Ameyaw Debrah, Dr Likee, and DanceGod Lloyd — who will serve as campaign ambassadors to spread the excitement nationwide.
Under the supervision of the NLA, the World Cup Bonanza offers fans the chance to win by purchasing raffle tickets via USSD code 899899#. Winners will enjoy subsidised flights, accommodation, match tickets for all three of Ghana’s group games, and visa support.
Beyond the thrill of travel, the campaign also seeks to promote sports development and youth empowerment through the NLA’s Good Causes Fund — a reminder that football’s magic extends far beyond the pitch.
