Princess Marfo Reunites with FC Nordsjaelland After Bay FC Spell

Ghana international Princess Marfo has made a heartfelt return to Danish club FC Nordsjaelland, rejoining the team where her professional journey first took flight.

The 21-year-old Black Queens forward parted ways with U.S. side Bay FC after a challenging year and a half in the National Women’s Soccer League. Marfo originally broke through at Nordsjaelland during the 2021/22 season, becoming the first female graduate of Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy to feature for the Danish club’s senior side. She scored twice in 22 appearances in the 2022/23 campaign before heading to the United States on a deal that was set to run until 2025.

Reflecting on her comeback, Marfo expressed deep affection for the club and its familiar environment. “I have missed the family I feel I have here in Farum,” she said. “Right to Dream has filled a huge part of my life, and FCN feels like home. When I got the call, I accepted immediately. I’m ready to play, improve, and stay for the long term.”

Now back in Denmark, Marfo is eager to make an impact as Nordsjaelland embark on their maiden UEFA Women’s Europa Cup campaign. With fresh maturity and renewed determination, she aims to rekindle the form that made her a rising star in European women’s football.

CAF Confederation Cup: Kotoko Dangle Bonus Carrot Ahead of Kwara United Showdown

CAF Confederation Cup: Kotoko Dangle Bonus Carrot Ahead of Kwara United Showdown

Asante Kotoko have promised their players a handsome reward if they seal qualification to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup at the expense of Nigeria’s Kwara United.

The Ghanaian champions hold a slim 4–3 advantage from a pulsating first leg played at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday. With the decisive return fixture set for this weekend at the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta, the Porcupine Warriors are aiming to finish the job.

Club Communications Director Sarfo Duku revealed on Nhyira FM that a special financial package awaits the squad if they advance. “There is always a winning bonus even in the Ghana Premier League, but qualifying from the preliminary stage will add some appreciable amount of money,” he explained.

Duku added that progression is a must for the Kumasi giants. “Asante Kotoko is ahead of Kwara United on any platform, so they should be able to account for them. The good news is that the match will be played on a neutral ground, so there is a significant advantage for us,” he said confidently.

Golden Eaglets Soar Past Benin with Agha’s Hat-Trick Masterclass

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets announced their title intentions in style, crushing Benin Republic 4–1 in their WAFU B U-17 Championship opener on Wednesday evening at the Stade du Lycée Scientifique in Yamoussoukro.

The Nigerians came out flying, striking twice within the first six minutes. George Agha set the tone with a sharp fourth-minute finish before David Edeh doubled the advantage two minutes later. Agha was unstoppable, adding two more goals in the 14th and 31st minutes to complete a stunning first-half hat-trick.

Benin’s Jeremy Zannou managed to pull one back just before the break, but Manu Garba’s side remained firmly in control and comfortably saw out the second half.

With the emphatic win, the Golden Eaglets sit atop Group B with three points, edging Burkina Faso on goal difference. Nigeria next face the Baby Stallions on Saturday in a clash that will decide the group leader. Benin, meanwhile, bow out of the tournament after suffering their second defeat.

Fiorentina Confirms Devastating ACL Blow for Tariq Lamptey

Fiorentina have delivered a painful update to fans, revealing that Ghanaian right-back Tariq Lamptey has suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.

The injury, sustained during a recent training session, is a major setback for the 23-year-old, who had been enjoying a bright start to the season. Club doctors confirmed the diagnosis after scans, and Lamptey is expected to undergo surgery in the coming days. Recovery from such an injury typically requires several months, meaning the dynamic defender faces a long road back to full fitness.

This development is not only a blow to Fiorentina’s campaign but also to Ghana’s national team plans, with key international fixtures looming. Supporters and teammates have already begun sending messages of encouragement, hoping for a strong comeback from the pacey full-back known for his relentless energy and overlapping runs.

Eto’o Launches State-of-the-Art Youth Football Centre in Ngaoundéré

Eto’o Launches State-of-the-Art Youth Football Centre in Ngaoundéré

In a vibrant ceremony on September 22, 2025, Cameroon legend and Fecafoot president Samuel Eto’o unveiled a brand-new youth training complex in Ngaoundéré, deep in the country’s Adamaoua region.

The project breathes new life into the Association for the Fight against Delinquency Football Center (Alcd FC)—a grassroots academy founded in 2006 and already renowned for shaping national and international talent. Guided by UEFA-certified coach Jean Dangai, the centre has sent more than twenty players into professional football, earning a reputation as one of Cameroon’s brightest talent factories.

“Through this project, Ngaoundéré confirms its place on the map of Cameroonian football,” Eto’o declared to the cheering crowd. “The dream of seeing future ambassadors of the game emerge now seems closer to reality.”

The initiative is more than bricks and turf. It is a statement of intent: to professionalise youth training, promote social inclusion, and position football as a force against marginalisation.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has already taken note. Speaking in Nairobi weeks earlier, he praised Eto’o’s leadership and highlighted Cameroon’s progress under the FIFA Forward development program: “The strides being made to make our magnificent sport accessible to more people are impressive.”

With World Cup 2026 qualifiers looming and preparations underway for the U-17 Women’s World Cup, Cameroon is clearly investing in its footballing future. Eto’o’s vision is to ensure the nation keeps producing top-class players while uniting communities through the beautiful game. The new Ngaoundéré facility stands as a powerful symbol of that ambition.
