Bechem United are on the verge of completing a key addition to their squad ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, with the imminent signing of Nigerian striker Frank Promise Ekeamadi.
The 23-year-old forward has touched down in Ghana to finalize a two-year deal with the “Hunters.” Ekeamadi arrives from Burkina Faso’s Salitas FC, whom he joined in October 2024 from Sahel FC. Known for his pace and sharp instincts in front of goal, he’s expected to inject fresh firepower into the Bechem frontline.
This move is part of a major squad rebuild by newly appointed head coach Stephen Desmond-Issah Botchway, who is determined to reshape the team into a competitive force in both the Premier League and domestic cup competitions.
With Ekeamadi’s signing, Bechem United signals its intent to challenge stronger in the coming season and bring excitement back to their fans at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

In a heartfelt revelation, Iñaki Williams has pulled back the curtain on the behind-the-scenes drama surrounding his younger brother Nico Williams and the swirling rumors of a move to FC Barcelona.
Speaking with honesty and a protective tone, Iñaki didn’t hold back:
“We all know how football operates—especially when a giant like Barça comes knocking. But instead of direct conversations, they tried to stir up pressure on Athletic fans and on my brother through the media. It became a full-blown campaign, one they probably thought would break us.”
But for the Williams brothers and the Athletic Club family, loyalty runs deeper than headlines.
“At Athletic,” Iñaki continued, “when we want a player, we handle things with respect and silence. Barça’s noise only caused confusion, hurt a lot of people, and most of what was said or leaked wasn’t even true.”
In a world where transfers often feel like chess games, Iñaki reminded us all that some players still choose heart over hype.

After years away from the continental spotlight, Ghana’s Black Queens have reignited national hope with a strong showing at the recently concluded Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco. Their bronze medal finish has not only stirred pride but also sparked belief in what lies ahead.
Returning to the tournament for the first time since 2018, the Queens defied expectations — battling through a tough group stage and advancing to the semifinals. Despite falling to hosts Morocco, the team secured third place after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over South Africa.
At the heart of this resurgence is head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren, who remains confident about the team’s future prospects. Speaking to the media upon the team’s return to Accra, the Swedish tactician shared his belief in the squad’s potential.
“We learned a lot, especially from our first game. A few tactical adjustments made a big difference,” Bjorkegren explained. “The future of Ghanaian women’s football is very bright. If we continue working hard, there’s no doubt — we can win the WAFCON.”
Ghana’s campaign saw them lose narrowly to South Africa, draw against Mali, and clinch a crucial win over Tanzania to progress from the group. A commanding performance against Algeria in the quarterfinals followed before their narrow semifinal defeat to Morocco.
Still, the Queens walked away with their heads held high — and a nation behind them. With renewed spirit and unity, the path to continental glory looks promising.

Emmanuel Sabbi continued his fine form in Major League Soccer as he found the back of the net in Vancouver Whitecaps’ commanding 3-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City on Sunday.
The USA international, who is of Ghanaian descent, was handed a starting role and made his presence felt, playing 74 minutes in a dominant Round 25 fixture at BC Place. Sabbi broke the deadlock in the 35th minute, finishing calmly to give the Whitecaps a well-deserved lead.
Cameroonian midfielder Jean-Claude Ngando Mbende added a second just before halftime to tighten the home side’s grip on the game. Vancouver kept their foot on the gas in the second half, and in the 87th minute, Uruguayan defender Mathias Laborda sealed the result with a well-taken goal.
Sabbi’s overall impact was pivotal, not just in scoring but also in stretching the Kansas City defense throughout his time on the pitch. The 27-year-old has now recorded five goals and three assists in 19 appearances this season, underlining his growing influence at the Canadian club.
