For Mohammed Kudus, the journey from the bustling streets of Nima to the grand stage of the FIFA World Cup has been nothing short of extraordinary. The West Ham United star recently shared one of the most fulfilling moments of his career—playing in front of his family during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“It was actually having my family there. From playing in Nima, to having my family come to support me, and actually having them in Qatar, in the stands, was a massive feeling for me,” he said.

With back-to-back wins over Chad and Madagascar during the March international break, Kudus and the Black Stars are well on their way to qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico—another opportunity for Kudus to create lasting memories.

In a thrilling Italian Primavera 1 clash on Monday, young Ghanaian forward Amoako Minta once again proved his rising star status, finding the net in Sassuolo’s 3-1 defeat to Roma at the Enzo Ricci Park.
Roma drew first blood in the opening minute, but Minta quickly responded in the 10th minute with a moment of brilliance. Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah is on the road to recovery after undergoing successful surgery on Tuesday morning to treat a serious knee injury that halted his season earlier this month.
The 21-year-old, who has been a standout performer for Olympique Lyon this season, sustained an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury to his left knee during a Ligue 1 clash against Lille on April 6, 2025. The injury occurred just five minutes into the match after a tough ground duel with Lille defender Gabriel Gudmundsson, forcing Nuamah off the pitch in visible distress.
Medical experts, led by renowned surgeon Dr. Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet, performed the corrective procedure at a private hospital, and it has been confirmed that the surgery was successful.
Lyon has since released a statement backing the young star, saying, “OL gives its full support to Ernest and will do everything possible to enable him to return in the best possible conditions.”
This setback comes as a major blow not only to Lyon, who are counting on Nuamah in their domestic push, but also to the Ghana national team. Known for his blistering pace, creative spark, and tireless work rate, Nuamah has become a key figure for the Black Stars.
Before his injury, the former FC Nordsjaelland forward had featured in 33 matches across all competitions for Lyon this season, scoring six goals and providing two assists.

Fulham, according to The Sun, has been monitoring Yegbe closely and sees him as a potential long-term replacement for Nigerian international Calvin Bassey, who is being tipped for a summer exit. Daniel Adu-Adjei’s red-hot form shows no signs of cooling off, as the English-born Ghanaian forward notched his 15th goal of the season to lead AFC Bournemouth U21 to a commanding win over Premier League 2 Northern Division leaders, Sheffield United.
