West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui has explained his decision to substitute Mohammed Kudus at half-time during the team’s 1-1 draw with Brentford, citing tactical adjustments rather than injury concerns. The Hammers, who remain unbeaten away in the league, saw Tomas Soucek equalize after Bryan Mbeumo’s opener. Lopetegui praised his team’s second-half performance and emphasized the need for changes, including the introduction of Carlos Soler and Konstantinos Mavropanos, to improve the team’s balance. He dismissed any injury fears regarding Kudus and is now focused on their next fixture against Ipswich Town.
