Eddie Nketiah Scores Debut Goal in Crystal Palace’s Carabao Cup Win Over QPR

Eddie Nketiah made an immediate impact for Crystal Palace, scoring on his debut to help secure a 2-1 victory against Queens Park Rangers in the Carabao Cup, propelling the Eagles into the fourth round.

Nketiah, a ÂŁ30 million summer signing from Arsenal, found the net in the 16th minute with a powerful strike from a tight angle. The 25-year-old striker, now under a five-year contract with Palace, became the club’s fifth signing under manager Oliver Glasner.

Despite dominating the first half, Palace conceded an equalizer in the 53rd minute when QPR’s Sam Field capitalized on a failed clearance by Dean Henderson. However, Eberechi Eze restored Palace’s lead just 10 minutes later, scoring against his former club with a dynamic solo effort.

Crystal Palace weathered late pressure from QPR to secure their second win of the season, with manager Glasner optimistic about a deep run in the Carabao Cup.
