Former Ghana FA Executive Council member Sammy Anim Addo has expressed strong support for young Ghanaian talent Matthew Anim Cudjoe, praising him as a potential game-changer for the Black Stars.
Addo compared Cudjoe’s skills to those of Mohammed Kudus, emphasizing the young player’s exceptional talent. Despite not yet receiving a call-up to the national team, Addo is confident that Cudjoe will get his chance and make a significant impact.
“He has said himself that when he plays for the Black Stars, he will make a big difference, and I believe that too. Unless God says otherwise, Matthew will play for the Black Stars and bring immense value to the team. The qualities he possesses are extraordinary, and if given the opportunity, people will be amazed,” Addo stated.
Cudjoe is anticipated to make a high-profile move to a top European club after leaving Scottish side Dundee United. Addo highlighted Cudjoe’s unique attributes, questioning if there are any other Ghanaian players with similar qualities if not for Mohammed Kudus.

Hearts of Oak board member Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe is optimistic about the club’s prospects for the upcoming season under new head coach Aboubakar Ouattara.
The Phobians narrowly avoided relegation last season and are now focused on rebuilding the team. Despite recent challenges, including a defeat to arch-rivals Asante Kotoko, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe believes that Ouattara’s leadership will be crucial in assembling and developing a competitive squad.
“We are currently facing issues, but we expect these challenges to be resolved before the start of the 2024-2025 league season,” he stated on Joy FM. “We have confidence in Coach Aboubakar Ouattara’s ability to stabilize the team, recruit top talent, and provide the necessary training.”
Hearts of Oak has recently announced a review of their performance from the past season, acknowledging that they had to secure a win against Bechem United to stay in the top flight. The club is anticipated to make significant decisions aimed at achieving better results in the forthcoming season.
