With this draw, Great Olympics now sits in 15th place on the league table, narrowly avoiding the relegation zone due to a superior goal difference over Karela United. Meanwhile, Dreams FC has climbed to 12th place, just two points above the relegation zone.

Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt has signed 18-year-old Andrew Junior Awusi, a promising talent of Ghanaian descent, to his first professional contract. The deal extends until June 2026, with an option for an additional year.
Awusi, who has been part of The Eagles’ youth system since he was 11, has shown significant potential during his time at the club. Despite interest from various other teams, Eintracht Frankfurt quickly secured Awusi’s commitment, fending off potential suitors.
The club announced the contract on its official website, noting the Spanish-Ghanaian winger’s progress since joining in 2017 and the extension of his stay.
Sporting director Timmo Hardung expressed his satisfaction with retaining Awusi, praising his exciting skillset and the club’s dedication to his development. “We’re pleased to have secured another talented youngster for the coming years in Junior,” said Hardung. “With his dribbling ability and goal threat, he has an exciting skillset. Our joint task now is to gradually introduce Junior to men’s football so he can consistently showcase his qualities on the pitch.”
Despite injuries, Awusi made significant contributions to Frankfurt’s U19 team during the U19-Bundesliga S/SW 23/24 season, scoring twice and providing five assists in 13 league appearances.

Asante Kotoko fans can rejoice as Stephen Mukwala is reportedly ready to accept a new deal to stay with the club.
The Fabolous family had been worried due to a deadlock in contract talks between the club and Mukwala’s representatives. However, news has emerged that the 24-year-old Ugandan forward has agreed in principle to extend his contract with Asante Kotoko.
Mukwala’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, but the club has convinced him to extend his stay for another year, pending discussions with his agent.
Since joining Asante Kotoko from URA Kampala in the summer of 2022, Mukwala has become a fan favorite due to his athleticism and impressive performances. Despite recent statements from the club’s administration manager, Emmanuel Newton Dasosberi, indicating that Mukwala had declined all renewal offers, it now appears the forward, who is also part of Uganda’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, has agreed to renew his contract.
Asante Kotoko supporters will be relieved and hopeful, as Mukwala has proven to be a key player in their attack, scoring 13 goals in the current campaign. The club is set to offer him a one-year extension, which Mukwala and his agents are prepared to accept.

Hamza Obeng has successfully guided Vision FC to the Premier League in his first season as head coach, adding another achievement to his impressive coaching resume.

Asamoah Gyan’s childhood dream came true when Ghana qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 2006. Gyan, who prophesied that he would lead Ghana to the World Cup, scored the nation’s first-ever World Cup goal with an assist from Stephen Appiah during a match against the Czech Republic in Cologne, Germany. Gyan, a former Ghana captain, now holds the record as the African player with the most World Cup goals, having scored six goals across three tournaments.
In an interview on YFM’s Leaderboard Series, Gyan shared his early aspirations: “In school, when asked about our future ambitions, some would say president or engineer, but I was the only one who said I would be a football star. I predicted that I would be the one to take Ghana to the World Cup because, despite having great players, we never qualified. I told my friends that the first time I wore the Ghana jersey, we would make it to the World Cup, and they can confirm it.”
Asamoah Gyan is Ghana’s all-time top scorer with 51 goals in 109 international appearances, solidifying his status as one of Africa’s greatest footballers.
