Hatters Captain Suffers Cardiac Arrest

Hatters Captain Suffers Cardiac Arrest

Our medical staff have confirmed that the Hatters captain suffered cardiac arrest on the pitch, but was responsive by the time he was taken off on the stretcher. He received further treatment inside the stadium, for which we once again thank the medical teams from both sides. Tom was transferred to hospital, where we can reassure supporters that he is stable and currently undergoing further tests with his family at his bedside. We would like to thank everyone for their support, concern and loving messages for Locks.

“I think Ancelotti is a bit bigger than Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep due to the Champions League titles he’s won! He’s top-notch, and he’s the king of European success.

“Both Pep and Sir Alex are a part of history, but let’s look at what Ancelotti has achieved. He’s the king of kings, better than anyone else, and I’m very proud of him.” 🤔

Joel Matip Undergoes a Successful Surgery

Joel Matip Undergoes a Successful Surgery

Joel Matip has undergone successful surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament injury he sustained earlier this month.

Our No.32 was forced off in the second half of the Reds’ Premier League clash with Fulham at Anfield and subsequent scans confirmed an ACL rupture.

A successful operation has now been completed and Matip will continue his rehabilitation programme at the AXA Training Centre.

Matip had made 14 appearances in 2023-24 to date – his eighth season with the club – and passed the 200 mark overall for Liverpool.

No timescale is currently being placed on his recovery.

Klopp on Alexis

Klopp on Alexis

Klopp on Alexis:

“I am obviously not a doctor but they explain it to me pretty much every day why he is not ready yet and it is obviously a bit more tricky than we thought in the first moment.

“The other boy stepped on his knee and the stud went through pretty much the muscle onto the bone. And now we have to wait until the bone is healed and until Macca can deal with the pain, because it is pretty painful.

“Macca is actually a super-tough guy so we have probably to make sure just from an infection point of view nothing happens. That’s really important.

“I never had this injury for one of my players before but now we have it. I hope it will not take that long, I would like to say it’s day by day – but that would look like he could maybe play the next game but he will not be ready for that as well.

“So, I hope the next three or four days he makes big steps and then we will see.”
