State broadcaster GTV Sports+ has secured the exclusive rights to broadcast the Ghana Premier League for the next five seasons.
This deal, which follows the end of the previous contract with Chinese pay TV network StarTimes, is set to enhance the coverage of Ghanaian football. StarTimes, which held the rights since 2020, did not renew its contract after the 2023/24 season.
According to Oyerepa FM, GTV Sports+ has reached an agreement with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) valued at USD 2 million. The new arrangement is expected to provide high-quality broadcasts, including live matches, highlights, and detailed analysis.
As the Ghana Premier League kicks off its 2024-25 season on September 6, local fans can anticipate improved coverage and an enhanced viewing experience thanks to GTV Sports+.

The Ghana U20 women’s team, the Black Princesses, will face Mexico in a friendly match in Bogotá as part of their preparations for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
Ghana, which arrived in South America last week after spending over two months training in Cape Coast, will meet their Mexican counterparts at the Centro Deportivo Choquenza on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 20:30 GMT.

Indian Super League side Mohammedan SC has secured Ghanaian centre-back Joseph Adjei with a contract extension through to 2025.
