Freedom on the Pitch Key to My Form, Says Antoine Semenyo
Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo attributes his impressive form for AFC Bournemouth to the freedom he feels while playing. The 25-year-old striker has been a standout performer for the Cherries this season, netting four goals in 12 appearances across all competitions.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Bournemouth’s clash with Brighton & Hove Albion, Semenyo shared insights into his recent success.
“It’s about continuing to work hard, enjoying the game, and playing with no pressure,” Semenyo said. “I feel like just being easy on the pitch, having that freedom, is what’s given me my success right now. I just need to keep playing with no pressure, enjoy the game, have fun with the ball, and try to rack up as many goals as I can.”
Semenyo’s resurgence comes after missing Ghana’s final round of 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger, where the Black Stars struggled with a 1-1 draw and a 2-1 defeat.
The forward’s form has been a bright spot for both Bournemouth and Ghanaian fans, as he continues to shine in the Premier League with his confident and dynamic performances.
