Black Stars’ Struggles: Moses Foh-Amoaning Calls for Unity to Revive Team’s Fortunes

In the wake of the Black Stars’ dismal performance in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, prominent Ghanaian lawyer Moses Foh-Amoaning has made a heartfelt plea for unity within the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and among Ghanaians.

The four-time African champions endured a catastrophic campaign, failing to secure a single victory in six matches and finishing bottom of Group F. Their inability to qualify for next year’s AFCON in Morocco has sparked widespread criticism, with many calling for a complete overhaul of the team and its technical staff.

Amid these challenges, Foh-Amoaning stressed the importance of collective effort to rebuild the team. Speaking on Asempa FM, he highlighted the role of unity in restoring the Black Stars’ former glory.

“We need to focus on bringing the Ghana Football Association and the entire nation together. Only through unity can we bring the Black Stars the luck and success they need,” he said.

The GFA recently convened a meeting to discuss the future of head coach Otto Addo, whose tenure is under scrutiny. A final decision on his position is expected on Wednesday, November 27.

Looking ahead, the Black Stars will shift their focus to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, resuming in March 2025 with crucial games against Chad and Madagascar.
