🦊 Jordan Ayew on Target as Leicester City Halt Losing Streak with Draw Against Middlesbrough ⚽🇬ðŸ‡
Jordan Ayew came to the rescue for Leicester City as his first-half penalty earned the Foxes a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough in the English Championship on Tuesday night.
The experienced Ghanaian forward showed composure from the spot just before half-time, calmly slotting home to hand Leicester a deserved lead and momentarily lift the pressure after two consecutive defeats.
Leicester dominated much of the first half and looked on course for victory at the King Power Stadium, but heartbreak struck late when Luke Ayling netted an injury-time equaliser to snatch a point for Middlesbrough.
Ayew’s goal — his second of the season — comes as a timely response to critics amid Leicester’s inconsistent form. The draw, however, leaves the Foxes in 13th place with 18 points from 14 matches.
His compatriot Abdul Fatawu Issahaku also impressed on the right flank, lasting 85 minutes before being replaced by Stephy Mavididi.
While Leicester will rue the dropped points, Ayew’s performance offered a bright spark — a sign that the Ghanaian captain is finding his rhythm once again in English football.
