Kudus Set to Return Under New Spurs Boss After Thomas Frank’s Exit
Ghana international Mohammed Kudus will return from injury in April to a new managerial setup at Tottenham Hotspur following the dismissal of Thomas Frank.
The Danish tactician was relieved of his duties after a dismal run of results in the Premier League, with Spurs failing to register a win in their last eight matches — their longest winless streak since October 2008.
Frank’s departure was confirmed after Tuesday night’s 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United, a result that compounded the North London club’s struggles.
Kudus had been Frank’s first signing after his appointment last summer, and the former Ajax star quickly became a central figure in the manager’s plans. The Ghanaian attacker played a key role in Spurs’ strong start to the campaign before suffering an injury setback.
His absence has significantly affected the team’s attacking output, with Spurs struggling to create clear-cut chances without their influential forward.
Despite the recent downturn in domestic competitions, Frank guided Tottenham to a fourth-place finish and secured automatic qualification to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League earlier in the season.
Spurs are yet to officially name a successor, as the club continues to assess potential candidates. Former Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly among the frontrunners following his departure from Marseille.
