Emmanuel Gyamfi Vows to Give His All After Joining Aberdeen FC
Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Gyamfi says he is determined to make a strong impact at Aberdeen FC after completing his move to the Scottish Cup champions.
The talented full-back, born in Germany, penned a four-year deal with the Dons on Friday, June 6, joining from German outfit FC Schalke 04. The club confirmed his signing for an undisclosed fee, pending international clearance and visa formalities.
Gyamfi, 20, who progressed through Schalke’s youth system and is a highly regarded German youth international, is expected to bolster Aberdeen’s defensive line ahead of the upcoming season.
In his first interview with the club’s media, Gyamfi expressed excitement about the new chapter in his career and pledged to give his utmost for the team.
“I will give my best to help the team. I want to show the fans what I can do, as this is a good club and we all want to achieve even more than last season,” Gyamfi said.
He also spoke about the passion of the Aberdeen supporters, which has already made an impression on him.
“It was nice to see all the fan celebrations after winning the cup. It motivates me to want to do it again, as you can see how much they love Aberdeen.”
Aberdeen FC will hope Gyamfi’s arrival adds quality and depth as they look to build on last season’s success and aim for more silverware.
