Paris 2024: Ghana’s 13-Member Olympic Technical Team Lacks Psychologist

Team Ghana marked its preparation for the 2024 Olympics by participating in the opening ceremony, joining over 150 countries sailing on the Seine River in a vibrant display.

Eight athletes are representing Ghana at this year’s Olympics, with high jumper Rose Yeboah and swimmers Joselle Mensah and Harry Stacey being the only members not part of the Men’s 4×100 Relay Team.

Ghana has sent 13 administrative and technical officials to Paris, led by Ghana Olympic Committee President Ben Nunoo Mensah.

The team includes veteran sports journalist Benjamin Willie Graham as the Media Attaché, Philippina Frimpong as the Athletics Leader, and Delphina Quaye, President of the Ghana Swimming Association, as the Swimming Leader.

While the contingent includes a physiotherapist, a nurse, and a doctor, it notably lacks a psychologist.

Ghana aims to improve on its previous medal tally after winning a bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics through boxer Samuel Takyi. Below is the full list of Ghanaian representatives at the 2024 Olympics:
