The Dolphin Swimming League is set for an exciting Season 6, with over 12 schools confirmed to participate in Nigeria’s premier inter-school swimming tournament. The event kicks off on Saturday, October 19, at Grange School, Ikeja.
Defending champions Grange School and St Saviour’s Schools will face competition from new entrants such as Riverbank, Temple, Corona, and Whitesands Lagoon. Other schools in the mix include Greensprings, Children International School, Lagos Preparatory Secondary School, Boken Aquatics, and Team UNAT.
Organized by Dynaspro Sports Promotion in partnership with Advanta Interactive, the league is supported by the Lagos State Swimming Association and the Nigeria Aquatic Federation, with endorsements from the Nigeria Olympic Committee and the Nigeria School Sport Federation.
Tournament coordinator Oluseyi Oyebode expressed excitement at the growing number of schools, noting that the event draws participants from across Lagos and beyond. Season 6 also aims to serve as a selection platform for the Nigerian team heading to the 2025 International School Sports Federation Gymnasiade in Belgrade, Serbia.
“Our goal is to provide young swimmers with a platform to showcase their talents, and to give national scouts an opportunity to identify emerging stars,” Oyebode said.
