Ghanaian teenage sensation Ezekiel Alladoh continued his impressive start to life in Sweden, finding the net once again in IF Brommapojkarna’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Varnamo in the Allsvenskan on Sunday.
The 18-year-old forward, who joined the Swedish side from Accra Lions, has quickly made a name for himself and played a starring role at the Grimsta IP as the “Bromma boys” clinched a dramatic home win.
After dominating early possession, Brommapojkarna broke the deadlock in the 27th minute through Alex Timossi Andersson. Alladoh, who had looked lively from the onset, finally got his reward just five minutes into the second half, latching onto a slick team move and firing home a composed left-footed strike to make it 2-0.
Varnamo, despite their poor run of form, staged a spirited comeback. Ghanaian midfielder Frank Junior Adjei, formerly of Bibiani Goldstars, pulled one back with a long-range effort before Simon Thern leveled matters in the 83rd minute with a spectacular free-kick.
But the hosts would not be denied. With the clock ticking down, Danish defender Kaare Barslund stepped up to score the winner, sealing all three points and sending the home fans into raptures.
With two goals in four appearances, Alladoh is not only proving to be a crucial piece in Brommapojkarna’s attack but also representing Ghanaian talent with pride on the European stage.
