Black Stars Touch Down in London to Kickstart Unity Cup Campaign

The Black Stars have officially begun preparations for the much-anticipated 2025 Unity Cup, as players start trooping into London to represent Ghana in the vibrant four-nation tournament aimed at fostering Afro-Caribbean unity.

With 23 players invited by head coach Otto Addo, the first batch of arrivals wasted no time, holding their initial training session on Monday morning. The players eased into action with a light indoor warm-up session, recovering from the demands of a long season at their respective clubs.

The Ghanaian team is set to intensify preparations at the Gtech Community Stadium, where they will lock horns with archrivals Nigeria in the tournament’s semi-final clash on Thursday, May 29. Before that, Caribbean giants Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago will set the tone with their own derby showdown on Wednesday.

The winners of both semi-finals will meet in the grand finale on May 31, as the Unity Cup brings together diverse football cultures in a celebration of sport, heritage, and solidarity.
