Dutch-Ghanaian forward Kevin Appiah Nyarko played a starring role in Varbergs BoIS FC’s emphatic 4-2 win over previously unbeaten Landskrona BoIS in Round 9 of the Swedish Superettan.
The action at Påskbergsvallen was electric from the start, with Varbergs launching a first-half onslaught that left their visitors shell-shocked. Marc Tokich opened the scoring in the 5th minute, before Oliver Alfonsi added a quickfire brace in the 11th and 17th minutes. Just two minutes later, Kevin Appiah Nyarko joined the scoresheet with a composed finish to make it 4-0 inside 19 minutes.
Nyarko, who started and played 62 minutes, stood out with his sharp movement and high energy, capping his performance with a crucial goal that highlighted one of Varbergs’ most dominant starts this season.
Although Landskrona responded with late goals from Christian Stark (82′) and Kofi Fosuhene Asare (90+1′), the early damage proved irreversible.
The win marks Varbergs’ seventh triumph in 13 meetings against Landskrona and sends a strong signal ahead of their upcoming clash with Kalmar FF on Sunday—an encounter that could have early title implications.
