Former Ghana international Sulley Muntari has thrown his support behind Jeremie Frimpong, predicting a bright future for the dynamic wing-back at Liverpool.
Frimpong, 24, is reportedly close to finalizing a high-profile transfer to the reigning Premier League champions, Liverpool. The move comes as the club prepares for life after Trent Alexander-Arnold, who exits Anfield after two decades of loyal service.
The Dutch-born Ghanaian has enjoyed a meteoric rise, starting from Manchester City’s academy to making a name for himself at Celtic, before becoming a standout star at Bayer Leverkusen. Known for his blistering pace and attacking flair, Frimpong contributed an impressive 48 goal involvements in the Bundesliga.
Speaking to Sportsblog247.com, Muntari was full of praise for Frimpong’s unique attributes and backed him to make an immediate impact at Anfield.
“Jeremie Frimpong is an exceptional player,” Muntari said. “The frequency of his support runs and ability to change direction at full speed is rare. He’s technically agile, incredibly fast, and has grown into a more complete player.”
Muntari added that Frimpong’s offensive instincts and improved defensive work make him an ideal fit for Liverpool’s high-tempo style.
“He’ll bring creativity and imbalance, link well with attackers, and adapt quickly. I believe he’ll be a worthy replacement for Trent.”
As fans await an official announcement, excitement is already building over what the young full-back could bring to Merseyside.
