Italian Serie A side Atalanta are eyeing a summer swoop for Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana as they aim to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The Bergamo-based club has reportedly identified the Southampton forward as a key target and have already opened talks with the player’s representatives in hopes of securing a deal. Sulemana, known for his blistering pace and flair, is currently valued at €10 million by the Saints.

Following Southampton’s relegation from the Premier League after a dismal campaign that saw them finish bottom with just 12 points, Sulemana faces the prospect of playing in the English Championship next season unless a transfer materializes.

The 23-year-old featured in 26 league games last season, contributing one goal and one assist. Despite a modest return, his potential and past performances with FC Nordsjaelland and Stade Rennais continue to draw interest from across Europe.

Currently under contract until 2027, Sulemana is yet to decide on his future, but he is expected to assess his options during the summer break. Apart from Atalanta, Serie A rivals Genoa and Turkish club Trabzonspor are also monitoring the Ghana international closely.
