Ghana’s Black Satellites will begin their quest for regional glory with a blockbuster clash against rivals Nigeria in the opening match of the 2025 WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations. The much-anticipated fixture is scheduled for July 10 at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
The tournament, hosted by Ghana from July 10 to 23, marks its third edition and promises thrilling action from West Africa’s brightest young talents. Ghana, drawn into Group A, will wrap up their group stage campaign against Benin on July 16.
With just three teams in Group A, each side will play two matches to determine who advances to the knockout stage. Group B, on the other hand, features Cote D’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Togo. Cote D’Ivoire will take on Burkina Faso in their opening game, followed by Niger’s clash with Togo on Day 2 of the tournament.
The final showdown is slated for July 23 at the University of Ghana Stadium in Accra, where the two best teams will battle for regional supremacy and a possible ticket to the continental stage.
