Davis Boateng Joins VfB Germania Halberstadt: A New Spark for the Friedensstadion Attack

From Süderelbe to Halberstadt – Ghanaian-German forward ready to light up the Oberliga

VfB Germania Halberstadt have secured the signature of promising attacker Davis Boateng as they aim to bolster their frontline ahead of the 2025/26 season. The 21-year-old forward arrives from FC Süderelbe, where he impressed with 11 goals and 9 assists in 33 appearances last term.

Boateng, who holds dual German-Ghanaian nationality, is known for his pace, creativity, and versatility in attack — traits that Halberstadt believe can give them an edge in their bid to climb the Oberliga NOFV-Süd standings. A product of the VfL Wolfsburg youth system, Boateng is comfortable across various forward roles, offering tactical flexibility to the coaching staff.

The move comes as Halberstadt look to improve on last season’s 7th-place finish, where they amassed 48 points. The club views Boateng as a key piece in their ambition to break into the upper echelons of the table.

Before finalizing the deal, Boateng had already taken in the atmosphere at the Friedensstadion during a recent home match — a gesture that hinted at a natural fit between player and club.

With preseason preparations underway, Boateng is now set to integrate into the squad and hit the ground running.
