Spurs Eye Semenyo After Solanke Coup — Bournemouth Brace for Major Exit

Tottenham Hotspur have opened talks with Bournemouth over the potential transfer of Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo, as the North London club intensifies its search for attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season.

With uncertainty surrounding Heung-min Son’s future amid a possible Saudi Arabia move, Spurs have identified Semenyo as a key target. The 25-year-old is under contract with Bournemouth until 2029, but that hasn’t stopped Tottenham from making their interest known.

According to Football Insider, Bournemouth have slapped a hefty £70 million price tag on Semenyo in a bid to fend off interest. Despite the valuation, there’s growing concern within the Cherries’ camp about losing one of their most influential players. Manager Andoni Iraola is said to be preparing for Semenyo’s potential departure and has started compiling a list of replacements.

Tottenham recently broke their transfer record to sign Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth for £65 million — and could now be forced to top that figure if they are to bring Semenyo to North London.

Semenyo enjoyed a standout 2024/25 season, netting 11 goals and providing 5 assists, playing a pivotal role in Bournemouth’s top-half Premier League finish.
