Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini has thrown down the gauntlet ahead of the 2025/26 Belgian Jupiler Pro League season, boldly declaring his ambition to emerge as the league’s top scorer.
Fresh off a summer move from Austrian side Sturm Graz to reigning Belgian champions Union Saint-Gilloise, the 23-year-old striker is gearing up for a defining campaign — both domestically and in Europe. With the club set to feature in the UEFA Champions League group stage, Fuseini is determined to seize the spotlight.
Speaking to Joy Sports, the Black Stars attacker expressed confidence in his abilities and outlined his goals for the season.
> “I just hope we start the season really well because last season we didn’t start well,” Fuseini said. “I want to be the top scorer of the league, score a lot of goals in the league and the Champions League.”
The ambitious forward is also targeting a strong first half of the season, aiming to bag between 10 and 15 goals before the winter break.
Having finished last season with 11 goals and three assists in a two-striker formation, Fuseini believes he’s ready to hit new heights with Union SG, especially as they return to European competition with high expectations.
With his eyes on the Golden Boot and the Champions League stage, Mohammed Fuseini is a name to watch in the upcoming season.
