Kwesi Appiah Crowned Star of the Season as Boreham Wood Celebrate Promotion

In a triumphant end to a memorable campaign, Ghanaian striker Kwesi Appiah emerged as the undisputed hero at Boreham Wood FC, scooping three major awards following the club’s successful promotion to the National League.

At 34, Appiah showcased the form of his career, netting an impressive 24 goals in 35 appearances—including two sensational hat-tricks—to fire the Wood to promotion glory. His outstanding performances didn’t go unnoticed, as he was voted both the Players’ Player of the Season and the Supporters’ Player of the Year. To top it all, he claimed the Golden Boot as the club’s top scorer.

The former Crystal Palace and Crawley Town forward was instrumental in Boreham Wood’s rise, earning admiration from teammates and supporters alike. His leadership and consistency on the pitch made him a fan favourite and a key figure in the dressing room.

Taking to social media, a grateful Appiah shared:
