FC Barcelona Sporting Director Deco has confirmed that Spanish international Nico Williams is keen on making a switch to Camp Nou this summer. The 22-year-old winger, who currently plays for Athletic Club, has emerged as a hot target across Europe with Arsenal and Bayern Munich also showing strong interest.

In an interview with La Vanguardia, Deco stated, “Yes, Nico Williams wants to come… and we will try. Nico, same as other players, is showing a strong desire to come… and if the right conditions are met in his case, we’ll definitely try to complete the deal.”

Despite intense interest from Barcelona, Bayern Munich are ramping up efforts to hijack the transfer. The German champions have reportedly submitted an improved offer within the last 24 hours, which includes a substantial salary hike and €2 million in annual bonuses to lure the Ghanaian-descended forward to the Bundesliga.
