Ghana international Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah has completed a move to Nottingham Forest Women, signing a two-year contract ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Fresh from helping the Black Queens secure bronze at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, the 29-year-old forward joins Forest from newly crowned WSL2 champions London City Lionesses, where she played a decisive role in their promotion — netting six goals, including a vital header in the final day title decider against Birmingham City.
Boye-Hlorkah’s football journey began at Everton’s Centre of Excellence, making her Women’s Super League debut for the Toffees in 2013 and scoring her first goal later that same season. After eight years at Everton, she moved to Aston Villa in 2021 before signing for London City Lionesses in 2023, making 37 appearances over two seasons.
Internationally, she represented England at U19 and U23 level before committing to Ghana in 2023, where she has since become an influential figure for the Black Queens.
Speaking on her move, Boye-Hlorkah expressed her excitement: “The team had an incredible season last year – history is being created here, and I’m grateful to be part of building something special at the club.”
Forest head coach Carly Davies, who has worked with her before, praised the signing: “Chaney is a proven talent at the highest level, with experience at Everton, Aston Villa, and London City Lionesses. Her attacking threat, versatility, and ability to impact games will be a huge asset as we push for more success.”

Manchester United have shut down the idea of using rising midfielder Toby Collyer as a bargaining chip in their pursuit of Brighton’s Carlos Baleba. The Red Devils, who have been tracking the Cameroon international, were told he would cost around £100 million — a figure far beyond their current transfer budget following a busy summer window.
Brighton had hoped Collyer could be part of a swap deal to ease negotiations, but United made it clear he was off-limits. Instead, the 21-year-old is on the verge of sealing a loan move to West Bromwich Albion, where new manager Ryan Mason is building a squad capable of pushing for Championship promotion.
Collyer, who joined United from Brighton in 2022, impressed in pre-season and made 19 appearances last term — including a crucial goal-line clearance in January’s 1-0 win over Fulham. With Ruben Amorim’s system offering limited midfield spots and Bruno Fernandes locked in as captain and playmaker, the loan is seen as the best path for Collyer’s development.
Born in Worthing, just a short distance from Brighton, Collyer was once tipped for a future at the Amex before being released. Now, he’s ready to follow in the footsteps of players like Harvey Barnes, who thrived during a spell at The Hawthorns, and return to Manchester stronger.

Tudor Mendel-Idowu’s story is as extraordinary as it is inspiring — a tale that blends academic brilliance with footballing ambition. Born with a natural gift for learning, the midfielder was already making headlines as a child. At just nine years old, while playing in Chelsea’s academy, he appeared in the Channel 4 Child Genius competition, famously coming second in a tense finale. Undeterred, he went on to master Portuguese, Mandarin, and Arabic, winning a prestigious language contest against more than 1,000 other young competitors.
By 13, Mendel-Idowu had achieved what few ever do — earning the coveted King’s Scholar award at Eton College, reserved for the brightest 14 boys in the UK each year. There, he passed A-levels in Latin, Greek, and History, adding to his already impressive linguistic repertoire and cementing his status as a six-language polyglot.
While excelling academically, his football career was also flourishing. Chelsea, recognising his exceptional talent on the pitch, brought him into their academy at the age of eight. He went on to become a standout player, scoring a memorable FA Youth Cup winner against Liverpool.
In 2023, however, Mendel-Idowu made the bold choice to turn down a new Chelsea contract. With Barcelona reportedly interested, the young talent opted for a fresh challenge abroad, signing with Belgian side Anderlecht. His stint there began brightly, scoring on his RSCA Futures debut in a narrow win over Dender.
Last summer, he took the next step in his journey, joining Ipswich Town. Now part of their youth setup and having trained with the first team, the 20-year-old awaits his senior debut — a moment that could mark the next chapter in the remarkable story of the boy genius who swapped Eton’s classrooms for football’s grand stage.

Leeds United are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Swiss forward Noah Okafor from AC Milan this summer.
According to UK reports, the Championship side have been monitoring the 24-year-old’s situation closely, with his performances under Massimiliano Allegri during pre-season leaving a positive impression. Okafor, known for his pace and versatility in attack, has shown flashes of the form that made him a sought-after talent in Europe.
While no formal bid has been made, Leeds are believed to be weighing their options as they look to strengthen their frontline ahead of the new campaign. AC Milan, on the other hand, could be open to discussions depending on the right offer, though Okafor remains in their pre-season plans.

Besiktas JK are plotting a bold summer move for Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The Turkish Süper Lig giants have identified the England international, who is of Ghanaian descent, as a key addition to their attacking ranks. According to sources, initial contact has already been made with Hudson-Odoi, though the 24-year-old is yet to respond to their approach.
Hudson-Odoi, who made the switch from Chelsea to Forest in 2023, still has two years left on his current deal. While he is reportedly content at the City Ground and open to continuing his Premier League journey, Nottingham Forest are believed to be open to offers — especially if it helps fund their chase for Strasbourg attacker Dilane Bakwa. The Midlands club recently tabled a second bid worth around €31 million for the former Bordeaux star, with no response yet from the French side.
