Everton are reportedly preparing a late push to sign Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku before the transfer window closes.
The 20-year-old’s debut Premier League campaign was cruelly cut short after he sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury while on international duty with the Black Stars. After months of recovery, he has returned to full fitness just in time for the 2025/26 season.
Fatawu, who impressed during his Championship spell with Leicester City, caught Everton’s attention long before his top-flight breakthrough. Sources suggest David Moyes’ side have been tracking his progress closely and are keen to bring his pace and creativity to Merseyside.
The winger underlined his readiness by starring in Leicester’s season opener against Sheffield Wednesday last weekend, further fuelling speculation of a Goodison Park switch.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Glenn Hoddle has backed Mohammed Kudus to become a major force for Spurs — if he can master the art of dribbling with his head up.
Speaking after the 2025 UEFA Super Cup clash in Italy, where Spurs surrendered a 2-0 lead before losing to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties, Hoddle praised the Ghanaian forward’s skill and flair but urged him to add more awareness to his game.
Kudus, who joined Tottenham from West Ham this summer in a €63.8 million move, was one of Spurs’ brightest sparks on the night, creating the most chances (3) and completing the most dribbles (2) before being substituted in the 79th minute. PSG struck twice in stoppage time to force the shootout.
“He’s got such good talent, such quick feet, and you can see his qualities there,” Hoddle told TNT Sports. “The next ingredient for him is consistency. Some of my West Ham friends told me the first year he was excellent, but the second year not so much. I still think he’s got huge potential.
“Sometimes I watch dribblers and think, ‘Yes, they’re good,’ but can they do it with their head up? That’s the key. If Kudus can do that, he could be a real asset for Tottenham.”

Nigeria’s African Nations Championship (CHAN) campaign ended prematurely, and head coach Eric Chelle believes avoidable errors were at the heart of the Super Eagles’ downfall.
Speaking after the 4-0 defeat to Sudan, Chelle admitted that while his side started strongly — enjoying the first 20 minutes and even taking the lead — a series of blunders turned the tide. “We gave away four goals from mistakes,” he lamented.
The coach revealed that the squad was weakened before the tournament, with several key players leaving camp for moves abroad. “The group that came for the CHAN is not the same one that qualified,” he explained. “Some of our best league players featured, but we simply can’t approach games with this level of complacency.”
Reflecting on both the opener against Senegal and the Sudan clash, Chelle stressed that every goal conceded came from preventable situations. “At this level, such errors are costly. We must be more focused,” he concluded.

Sudan striker Abdel Raouf Yagoub has poured salt into Nigeria’s wounds after the Falcons of Jediane dismantled the home-based Super Eagles 4-0 in their Group B clash at the 2024 African Nations Championship in Zanzibar.
The rout began in the 25th minute when Yagoub’s effort deflected off Leonard Ngenege and into the Nigerian net. Just before halftime, Walieldin Khdir coolly converted from the penalty spot to make it 2-0.
The second half was all about Yagoub, who struck twice to complete a personal brace and secure Sudan’s biggest win of the tournament so far.
Speaking after the match, the forward openly mocked Nigeria’s style of play.
> “They are very slow on the ball and their recovery rate is very poor — that’s what we capitalised on. Their defence made a lot of mistakes, their strikers are slow, and when our coach told us to play quick and get the ball into the box, we executed perfectly.”
The result sends Kwesi Appiah’s men to the top of Group D with four points from three matches. They now set their sights on their final group encounter against defending champions Senegal, where even a draw will seal their spot in the quarter-finals.
