Burkina Faso international defender Adamo Nagalo has completed a loan move to Turkish Süper Lig side Konyaspor, joining the club from PSV Eindhoven until the end of the 2025–26 season.
The 23-year-old centre-back, a product of Ghana-based Right to Dream Academy, makes the switch before the closure of the January transfer window as he seeks regular first-team football after a difficult spell for minutes at the Philips Stadion.
Nagalo only joined PSV last summer on a five-and-a-half-year contract from Danish outfit FC Nordsjaelland, but opportunities proved limited during the first half of the campaign. Konyaspor have now moved swiftly to secure his services for the remainder of the season.
Confirming the deal on their official website, the Turkish club stated:
“Konyaspor has signed Burkinabe central defender Adamo Nagalo on loan until the end of the 2025–26 season. Nagalo, who started his football career at the Right to Dream Academy, has previously played for FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark and PSV in the Netherlands. He has represented the Burkina Faso national team 20 times and will wear the number 39 jersey for our green and white colours.”
Nagalo, who has earned 20 caps for Burkina Faso’s senior national team, will be hoping the move to Turkey reignites his club career and strengthens his place on the international stage.

FC Nantes have been plunged into an unexpected and awkward situation after defensive midfielder Junior Mwanga publicly announced his departure from the club—despite the club insisting his loan deal remains in place until the end of the season.
On Saturday afternoon, Mwanga, who is on loan from Strasbourg, posted a message on his Instagram story thanking Nantes and wishing the club well for the future.
The post immediately raised eyebrows, as the Ligue 1 side had not sanctioned any contract termination and were reportedly unaware of any such decision.
Following Nantes’ 2-1 defeat away to Lorient, head coach Ahmed Kantari addressed the situation with visible frustration.
“Everyone is responsible for their words. The club has not released any statement. If players decide on their own to leave, that does not concern me,” Kantari said.
Mwanga was left out of the matchday squad for what the coach described as purely sporting reasons. Kantari did not hide his dissatisfaction with the midfielder’s recent performances, suggesting they had fallen well below expectations.
However, the Nantes boss was keen not to let the controversy overshadow the broader issues affecting his team. The defeat leaves Nantes 16th in the Ligue 1 standings—currently in the relegation play-off position—and six points adrift of safety.
Despite the loss, Kantari found positives in his side’s display. Nantes showed resilience by fighting back to make it 1-1 with 15 minutes remaining, only to concede a late winner in the 89th minute. A potential equaliser in stoppage time was later ruled out for offside.
“I feel a lot of frustration,” Kantari admitted. “But I liked the mindset of my players and the quality of football we showed in the second half.”
The coach noted that Nantes created significantly more chances than Lorient, enjoyed greater presence in the penalty area, and dominated possession, but lacked the clinical edge required to secure points.
Kantari remains optimistic that better days lie ahead, pointing to new signings and players returning from injury as reasons for encouragement.
“With the recruits and the returns from injury, the team now has a completely different face,” he concluded.

Nigerian forward Terem Moffi has secured a fresh chapter in his career after completing a loan move from OGC Nice to Portuguese giants FC Porto, with the deal including an option to buy set at €8 million.
The 26-year-old Super Eagles striker finalised the transfer on Friday, following an agreement reached by both clubs earlier in the week. Moffi will spend the remainder of the season at Porto, who retain the right to make the move permanent at the campaign’s end.
The switch brings relief to Moffi after a turbulent and frustrating period in France.
The former Lorient striker had been on medical leave since November 30, after a league defeat to his old club was marred by serious confrontations between Nice players and supporters.
Following that incident, Moffi was effectively frozen out of the first team and later sought legal intervention, taking the club to a French judicial commission to secure permission to leave.
Porto beat off competition from several suitors, including Turkish side Besiktas, who reportedly offered the striker a more lucrative financial package. Clubs in France and Scotland had also shown interest.
However, Moffi opted for Porto due to the club’s sporting project and the chance to work under head coach Francesco Farioli, who is familiar with him from their shared time in Ligue 1.
On the pitch, the Nigerian endured a difficult season with Nice, scoring just two goals in 10 league appearances—well below the standards he set in his debut campaign, when he finished as the club’s top scorer with 11 goals.
Despite his club struggles, Moffi remains a respected figure in Nigerian football. He made his Super Eagles debut in 2021 and announced himself emphatically with two goals in Nigeria’s 10–0 win over São Tomé and Príncipe in 2022.
He was also part of Nigeria’s squad at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, earning a late call-up as a replacement for the injured Victor Boniface. The Super Eagles went on to finish runners-up, losing the final to hosts Ivory Coast.
Porto see Moffi as an immediate attacking option as they push for success in domestic and European competitions, with the coming months set to determine whether the move becomes permanent.

Ghana defender Nathaniel Adjei is finally smiling again—and for good reason. After a year-long injury nightmare, the Lorient centre-back is back on the pitch and thriving, marking a major personal milestone with six consecutive appearances for the French Ligue 1 side.
The Stade du Moustoir dressing room was alive with music, laughter, and champagne following Lorient’s hard-fought 2-1 victory over FC Nantes. In the middle of the celebrations stood Adjei, laughing almost in disbelief as teammates danced around him.
“Six games in a row,” he whispered to himself, still trying to process the moment. For months, simply returning this season had felt uncertain.
Adjei had been sidelined for an entire year, enduring long rehabilitation days and lonely matchdays spent watching from the stands. But his patience and resilience are now paying off. Against Nantes, he made a composed 17-minute appearance—his sixth straight outing since his return—showing sharpness and confidence.
“It feels amazing,” Adjei told Sportsblog247.com. “When you’re injured, you miss everything—the noise, the tackles, even the pressure. Being back and contributing again is the best feeling in football.”
The Teshie-born defender was quick to acknowledge the support system that helped him through the darkest period of his career.
“I’m grateful to the medical staff and the coach for trusting me. They didn’t rush my recovery, and now my body feels strong.”
Adjei’s setback came on the most bittersweet of occasions—his senior debut for the Black Stars. He was forced off during an AFCON qualifier against Niger on November 18, 2024, before undergoing surgery a month later.
Since then, it has been a long and demanding road back, filled with intensive rehab and mental battles. Yet, the 23-year-old has emerged stronger and more determined.
“This is just the beginning,” he said with a grin. “I’m hungry, I’m fit, and I’m enjoying my football again. I want to finish the season even stronger.”
Adjei initially joined Lorient on loan from Swedish club Hammarby in January 2024, making 15 Ligue 1 appearances before the French side made the move permanent in the summer for a reported $7 million.
