Zakaria Fuseini, captain of Berekum Chelsea, has affirmed his team’s determination to secure a victory against Hearts of Oak in their upcoming clash on Wednesday.
The Bibires are set to host the Phobians at the Golden City Park for matchday 29 of the Ghana Premier League.
Originally scheduled for the previous weekend in Berekum, the highly anticipated match was postponed due to a venue clash with a Durbar.
Both teams enter the encounter following defeats in their previous Premier League fixtures, with Chelsea experiencing a 3-2 loss to Legon Cities, while Hearts of Oak fell short against Accra Lions in week 28.
In an interview with Sportblog247.com, the former Black Meteors defender emphasized his team’s focus and determination to secure maximum points at home against the Phobians.
“We are well concentrated and much determined ahead of the Hearts game. We are going all out to pick up all three points,” he stated.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the appointment of seven referees and seven assistant referees for the upcoming WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Accra in 2024.
Among the appointed officials are two Ghanaian FIFA referees, Abdul Lateef Adaari as the Centre Referee, and Emmanuel Dolagbanu as the Assistant Referee.
Abdul Lateef Adaari, aged 36, has been a FIFA-listed referee for nine years and works as a teacher alongside his officiating duties. In addition to domestic matches, Adaari has experience officiating in CAF competitions and FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Emmanuel Dolagbanu, aged 34, became a FIFA referee in 2020 and regularly officiates in the Ghana Premier League, as well as in CAF and FIFA-sanctioned competitions such as the CAF Champions League, the Confederation Cup, and FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Dolagbanu previously served as an Assistant Referee during the African Games in Accra.
The WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations is set to be held at the University of Ghana Stadium from May 15 to May 29, 2024.
Reigning champions Nigeria, host nation Ghana, as well as Cote D’Ivoire, Benin, Niger, Togo, and Burkina Faso, will compete for the title and the opportunity to qualify for the next edition of the TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nebojsa Kapor, the coach of Medeama FC, exudes confidence in his team’s prospects in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
Currently positioned fifth on the league table with 43 points from 29 matches, the Yellow and Mauve remain optimistic about their chances of clinching the league title.
Despite trailing leaders Samartex by nine points with five games remaining, Medeama’s recent victory against Great Olympics has bolstered their position in the standings.
Following Mamudu Kamaradin’s late goal that secured the crucial away win, Kapor emphasized his team’s belief in their ability to compete for the league title.
“We believed we could win the match, and we did. We have a promising outlook,” Kapor stated after the game. “Our sights are set on the title, but we’re also focused on our upcoming fixture against Real Tamale United at home. We have ample time to prepare for this match.”
Medeama is scheduled to host Real Tamale United at the Akoon Community Park in their next Ghana Premier League fixture next week.
