CAF Inspects Ghana’s Stadia for Possible Reinstatement of Hosting Rights for Category C Matches

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is reconsidering its decision to revoke Ghana’s eligibility to host category C matches, following recent inspections of the Accra and Cape Coast stadia. After withdrawing Baba Yara Stadium’s certification, Ghana was left without an approved venue for international games, forcing the nation to choose an alternative location for its October AFCON qualifier against Sudan. However, at the request of the Ministry of Sports, CAF inspectors visited the two stadia over the weekend to assess their suitability, potentially allowing Ghana to host the upcoming qualifier.
